An example of the reverse engineering process we used to model a computer mouse is shown on the left. In this case a Roland LPX-1200 3D Laser Scanner was use to create facet data from the mouse case. Cross-section and auxiliary curves were then created through this faceted surface. At this point, controlled variations could be made to change the way the required model fits to the original data.
